## Biography

Chris Wojcik (nickname Woj; surname often misheard or misspelled “Wojnick”) is an American no-gi competitor and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Jeff Serafin. He was born in London, England, and grew up in the Chicago area—competition and secondary profiles also associate him with Hammond, Indiana. Before jiu-jitsu he wrestled in high school, then found Brazilian jiu-jitsu and built his base at Serafin Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he later coached competition classes. Serafin promoted him to black belt on April 27, 2022, and later awarded him his first black-belt degree (publicly noted around April 2025).

Wojcik established himself regionally and on the early pro circuit with results such as a decision win over Micah Valdez and a deep run at Fight to Win 166 (2021), then fourth place at the 2022 ADCC West Coast Trials at −77 kg—beating Kody Steele and Kieran Kichuk before falling to PJ Barch. He also competed at the 2022 ADCC Europe, Middle East & Africa Championships at −77 kg (loss to Ross Nicholls) and took a decision win over Bartosz Lukaszewicz at GrappleFest 14 in December 2022.
